The Royal Academy of Dance is a UK-based, world-leading examination board specialising in dance education and training. They have been teaching the world to dance for more than 100 years and believe passionately in its power to transform lives for the better. Reaching a broad range of students all over the world is an integral part of RAD, and the team have been looking for ways they can continue to offer their network the support and guidance they deserve, so it felt like an opportune time for them to launch TalkCampus, a global peer-to-peer support platform to their growing student base.
‘We’re really excited to be launching TalkCampus to our students. Our community of over 400,000 students is based in more than 80 countries all over the world, in an array of time zones and speaks multiple languages. Providing all of our students with available support in their hours of need, wherever they are based and in whatever language they choose, is so important to us. We are always looking for ways to connect our global user base of passionate dancers, and to ensure they are supporting one another, and this seems like the perfect way to do that - the fact the platform caters to all of their time zones and provides them with help and connectivity outside of our office hours is a great comfort.’
TalkCampus is a global platform that offers instant support from the ease of a student's phone, 24/7, with real-time moderation and escalation. TalkCampus will also intelligently alert students to additional support specific to RAD, all embedded within the app, and available globally. A combination of peer support, machine-learning and innovative design, TalkCampus offers a community of support for a variety of anxieties, isolation and life’s ups and downs while also providing social connection with like-minded students, in a non-judgmental environment.
The TalkCampus global safety team works around the clock, across multiple time zones, and are readily available to intervene in real-time if an RAD student is struggling - anywhere in the world.
“We know that bringing people together is the most protective factor against deteriorating mental health, and our global platform helps students to transcend geographical boundaries and connect with other like-minded students around the world for support. Our team will be able to support RAD students no matter where they are based, and we know that our 24/7 support will help their dancers to combat the unique stressors they face. We are very excited to be able to support Royal Academy of Dance students and we look forward to welcoming them onto our platform.” Jamie Druitt, Head of Product.
