What to do and when
Follow these checklists throughout the academic year to keep awareness high and maximise student adoption.
Orientation Week
Pre-orientation email to new students
As soon as students receive their student email they can access TalkCampus. We find students start engaging up to 6 weeks prior to studies commencing. Draft available in the marketing messaging folder.
'Download and sign up' competitions
Incentivise students during orientation week with competitions, e.g. 'Show us you have downloaded and signed up for a chance to win some cool prizes!' Even if they don't need support now, they'll have TalkCampus at their fingertips later.
Presentation or webinar
Reach out to us about joining one of your student sessions! We could join for 15 minutes to introduce TalkCampus, or hold a longer wellbeing webinar tailored to your students.
Include a slide in orientation presentations
Include one of our presentation slides with a QR code at the beginning or end of any presentations. Students can scan the code whether online or in person.
Business cards in orientation packs
Include business cards in orientation packs and provide staff with a pack to hand out. Leave some in high-traffic areas like the library, canteens, and resident halls.
Digital screens
Use our range of designs with QR codes on digital screens around campus.
Roller banners
Have our roller banner design printed for student areas like libraries or accommodation entrances. Add your logo to create a co-branded version.
Each Semester
'Wobble week' email
Send during the period where excitement decreases and the reality of university life sinks in. TalkCampus lets students connect with others who may be struggling or who have had similar doubts.
Returning students email or text
After the holidays, remind all students that TalkCampus is available. Email and text message drafts are in the marketing messaging folder.
Staff email reminder
Staff are a great resource for signposting students who may need support. Share our Self-Directed Learning Modules or impact and efficacy report.
Main campus social post
Your main university socials will have the biggest following. Send us your brand guidelines and we can create aligned content.
Student clubs outreach
Send communications to sports clubs, music clubs, art clubs and ask leads to share on their channels.
Exam Period
Social media campaign
Share our Stress Campaign or Self-Directed Learning Modules campaign across your main social pages. Reach out to your Account Manager for help aligning with your guidelines.
Email or text to all students
Remind students about TalkCampus and signpost to our Managing Worry, Anxiety and Panic self-directed learning modules in the app.
Faculty auto-reply blurb
Ask faculty to add a short TalkCampus blurb to their out-of-hours auto-response, so students can find 24/7 support whenever they reach out. They could also add an email signature banner.
Presentation slides with QR code
Ask staff to include our slides at the start or end of any presentations during exam period.
Self-directed learning modules
Send staff our info sheet about learning modules covering anxiety, managing worry, and panic. Staff can then signpost students who need support.
Holiday Period
Email or text to all students
Remind students they can access 24/7 support no matter where they are in the world via TalkCampus.
International student outreach
Reach out to students returning home to let them know they can continue receiving support overseas in 26+ languages. We have translated materials available.
Student clubs social sharing
Ask student club leads to share a TalkCampus reminder on their channels before the break.
